How to install Blender with Stream Deck

The commercial plugin and Blender extension are two components of one integration.

Buy and install Blender Studio Control Suite from Elgato Marketplace. Stream Deck receives the plugin, actions and profiles. Its companion ZIP is included in the companion folder and is also available in this website’s GPL resources. That ZIP does not replace the commercial Stream Deck plugin.

Open Blender Preferences → Get Extensions → menu → Install from Disk. Choose the unextracted ZIP, enable the extension and allow the local Stream Deck connection. No separate Python, Node or external server installation is required. Companion updates are manual.

Add an action in Stream Deck, select the intended Blender instance and choose the profile for Mini, Neo, 15-key, XL or Stream Deck +. Version 1.2 adds a compact Start profile with three workflows. It does not replace customized profiles. Automatic page switching starts disabled.

Check the connection by reading state. If no session appears, review both components and local permission; this does not necessarily mean Blender is closed. Choose explicitly when several instances are running. The integration will not select another instance when the chosen one closes.

Learn in a disposable scene: toggle overlays or frame the selection. For a property, read the target’s catalog, review its destination and limits, and save the control. Only pressing or turning executes a change. Use the guide and companion ZIP hash to verify your installation.
