Stream Deck plugin privacy

This policy covers Creative Controls, the 20 independent Control Suite plugins and Civilization VII Game Control Suite. It explains their local settings, technical logs and connections to Stream Deck, applications and external websites.

Creative Controls: local operation

All eight Creative Controls plugins operate locally. Stream Deck retains each action’s settings, and the plugin uses them only to perform the requested action.

  • Sends the locally configured shortcut to the operating system.
  • Can open or focus the selected creative application.
  • Uses no first-party analytics or telemetry, accounts, or Adobe credentials.
  • Opens no ports, uploads no files, and collects no documents or creative content.

Covered products: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom Classic, Audition, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.

Control Suite: 20 independent plugins

Control Suite processes the shortcuts, labels and settings you configure for each action locally. Stream Deck stores those settings. The plugin does not send documents, creative content, telemetry or analytics to LaboratorioSD.

  • To open or focus the application, it checks permitted processes and local installation data. To execute controls, it sends the configured shortcuts to the operating system.
  • It connects to the local Stream Deck WebSocket and does not expose its own HTTP server.
  • Game launchers pass a fixed launch URI to the installed Steam client. Steam and the applications or games opened have their own network activity and privacy policies.
  • Technical logs may include action names, local paths and error details. Do not enter personal or confidential information in button labels.
  • Help links open at the user’s request and are governed by the destination website’s policy. When requesting support, remove private documents, credentials and personal data from screenshots and logs you share.

No LaboratorioSD account required

The plugins do not require registration, login or a LaboratorioSD account.

  • The plugin does not collect email addresses.
  • The plugin does not collect credentials.
  • The plugin does not collect saves, progress or personal statistics.
  • The plugin does not send external telemetry.

No local HTTP server

The plugins use the Stream Deck SDK. Civilization VII Game Control Suite also keeps a local copy of its settings.

  • They connect to the local Stream Deck WebSocket.
  • They do not run a local web server.
  • Civilization VII Game Control Suite 1.0 does not use the former port 58923.
  • Settings remain in the user profile.

The settings.json path below applies only to Civilization VII Game Control Suite. Creative Controls and Control Suite store per-action settings through Stream Deck.

  • Browser and language for links.

External URLs

Some actions open external links in your browser.

  • Steam to launch installed games.
  • Civilization/2K for glossaries or documentation.
  • LaboratorioSD for plugin support and information.
  • Network Ping sends an ICMP request to 8.8.8.8 when you press the action.

Website analytics

The website may use website analytics, always separate from what the plugin does.

  • Website analytics do not mean plugin telemetry.
  • The plugin does not send usage events to LaboratorioSD.
  • The website cookie consent applies only to the website.

How to reset Civilization VII settings

  1. 1 Quit Stream Deck completely.
  2. 2 Delete settings.json from your system path.
  3. 3 Open Stream Deck again.
  4. 4 Configure your custom shortcuts again.
