Troubleshooting

Make sure Civilization VII is running. Enable Focus Civilization VII, verify that the configured shortcut matches the in-game control, and try a delay of 100-300 ms.

Grant Stream Deck access under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Quit and reopen Stream Deck after granting permission.

Make sure Civilization VII can accept keyboard input at that moment. Close modal screens or the Steam overlay, and increase the delay if focus reaches the game too late.

Edit the action in Stream Deck and capture the new hotkey. The plugin sends the configured shortcut and does not read Civilization VII settings automatically.

CPU and RAM use operating-system sources. GPU usage, GPU temperature, and VRAM require a compatible source, normally NVIDIA nvidia-smi on Windows. They may display N/A on macOS.

The action pings 8.8.8.8. It can fail without internet access, when a firewall blocks ICMP, on filtered corporate networks, or when the ping command times out.

Confirm that Steam is installed and the operating system opens steam:// links. If Steam opens without launching the game, verify that Civilization VII is installed for that account.

Review the Show Desktop settings. Set Other windows to Do nothing if you only want to act on Civilization VII. The action never closes other applications.

On Windows, try opening the mixer manually from Sound settings. On macOS, the action opens the Sound panel because the operating system does not provide an sndvol-style per-application mixer.

The action sends F12 by default. Check the Steam screenshot shortcut, screenshot folder, and whether the Steam overlay is enabled for Civilization VII.
