Manual reset

Quit Stream Deck completely.

Delete settings.json from the path for your operating system.

Open Stream Deck again.

Reconfigure any shortcuts you customized.

Storage behavior

Stream Deck stores settings through its SDK. The plugin also keeps a local settings.json backup using atomic writes. It does not open ports, run a local HTTP server, or send these settings to Laboratorio Stream Deck.

Interface language, the application’s shortcut preset and keyboard layout are separate settings. Translating the interface does not change shortcuts or guarantee native support for every regional setup. Custom shortcuts must match the active preset and your keyboard; after changing layouts, check and recapture them if needed. For character shortcuts with Japanese, Korean or Chinese IMEs, use Latin/ABC input.

Professional tip

Organize your actions into Stream Deck profiles and keep a backup before changing shortcuts. Plugin settings are saved per action.
