Audio with Stream Deck and Wave Link

Based on manufacturer documentation, not a hands-on test. A selection of models, not the entire current range.

Who it is for

White Wave Neo is a cardioid USB condenser microphone for desktop voice recording and calls. Its headphone output provides monitoring. Consider it when you need a dedicated microphone and want to organise audio with Wave Link.

When to skip it

Keep your microphone if your voice is already clear. Wave Link does not require Wave Neo: it supports microphones and interfaces recognised by the system. Moving the microphone closer and reducing room noise may help more than replacing it.

Requirements and limits

The current Wave Neo page lists 64-bit Windows 11 or macOS Sonoma 14.2 and USB 2.0. The microphone has USB-C and includes a USB-A cable. Check requirements for your Wave Link and Stream Deck plugin versions separately. Key and dial actions depend on the plugin; compatibility with our plugins is not established.

Documented workflow

Connect the microphone and check the system input. In Wave Link, separate voice and applications and select the appropriate mix in your call or recording app. Install the official Wave Link plugin to assign supported Stream Deck actions. Check monitor and output mixes with a short recording: muting one does not necessarily mute the other. This is a documented workflow, not a hands-on test.
